Chasing Light

 

Back in April, I was lucky enough to meet the lovely Karrah Kobus and Jen Montgomery and catch up with Miss Kiara. Karrah has been one of my biggest photography role models since my early days on Flickr, so I was very excited to be finally meeting her. Kiara and I took Jen + Karrah to a familiar location where we had shot at previously. It required a bit of a hike, but gave us a little time to get to know each other and talk all things Australian and photography. We took some time to look over the gorgeous view once reaching the top of the hill before shooting. Jen + Karrah particularly enjoyed seeing what was a very distant view of the city including a view of the Harbour Bridge. We then danced in the field, soaking up the sun and chasing the light until it was gone. Afterwards, we attempted to take pictures of the stars without tripods and shared laughs and stories over a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant. It's been one of my favourite evenings of this year. Since their trip down under, Jen + Karrah got engaged and I wish them all the happiness in the world, hoping that our paths cross again soon.
